Research

My research interests include Theatre and Performance Studies, South Asian Studies, Victorian Studies, and Genre Fiction. My doctoral dissertation, using primary source information, studies modern Gujarati Theatre as it originated and developed in Colonial India. My postdoctoral project examines Historical Crime Fiction in South Asia, written by authors such as Vaseem Khan, Abir Mukherjee, and Sujata Massey. As part of research-creation, I am also working on a crime novel.

I have a scholarly monograph forthcoming from Routledge, and my peer-reviewed articles have been published or are forthcoming in Studies in the Fantastic (University of Tampa Press) and a Routledge anthology on the South-Asian Crime Fiction.
