
Abhimanyu Acharya is an award-winning writer, theatre-maker, researcher, and translator. He has been the recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar and the Sahapedia-UNESCO fellowship, amongst others. His doctoral dissertation, tracing the aesthetics and politics of theatre in Colonial Western India, was nominated for the American Distinguished Dissertation Award. He worked as a postdoctoral associate in the department of English and Writing Studies at Western University and previously served as the Creative Writing Instructor at the School of Continuing Studies at The University of Toronto. At present, he works as Assistant Professor in Global Peace and Social Justice at McMaster University.
