Elliot Cooper – Technology, Community and Identity

Elliot K. Cooper, a writer, visual artist, and activist currently working on his Masters of Library & Information Science (MLIS) at Western delivered a talk entitled “Technology, Community and Identity”. Conversing with The Write Place’s own Abhimanyu Acharya, Cooper drew upon his experiences as an autistic trans man to discuss his recently completed young-adult novel (from which he read), his art, and the virtues (and shortcomings) of online communication with regard to the formation of identity.
